Salvia lyrata ‘Purple Knockout’

Has rosettes of burgundy leaves that turn deep purple in summer. Lilac-blue flowers produced in warm days of spring and summer attract bees and butteflies. Tolerates light shade, but grows best in full sun. May be used as a groundcover, particularly in poor soils. If the birds don’t eat the seed, it will reseed itself.

Position: Full sun or light shade, in well drained soil

Flowering:  Summer

Height & Spread: 40cm  x 30cm .

Planting: Water thoroughly before planting and until well established
